At Allan Peoples, every creation is crafted to order and shipped with the same precision and care that define its making. The following policy outlines our global shipping standards, insurance coverage, and delivery procedures.
1. Made-to-Order Production
Each Allan Peoples creation is made to order.
Production timelines vary according to design complexity, material availability, and craftsmanship requirements. Estimated completion dates are provided individually at the time of purchase and are estimates only.
Once a piece completes production and passes final atelier inspection, it is prepared for insured shipment.
2. Shipping Services and Coverage
Shipments are entrusted exclusively to trusted insured international express couriers to ensure secure, traceable delivery.
All parcels are transported under express-courier conditions and packaged discreetly in unbranded protective outer cases to preserve both security and presentation integrity.
3. Complimentary and International Shipping
We provide complimentary insured express shipping within the United States.
For international destinations, shipping charges are calculated at checkout based on destination, insured value, and carrier requirements.
All shipments travel under full declared value. Transit times vary by destination and customs clearance.
4. Signature Requirement and Delivery Verification
An adult signature is required upon delivery.
Parcels will not be released or left unattended. Each shipment remains fully insured until confirmed delivery and signature by the recipient.
5. Processing and Dispatch
Upon completion of production, each piece undergoes a final inspection before being secured for dispatch.
A shipping-confirmation email with tracking information is issued once the parcel is released to the carrier. Estimated delivery windows are provided individually.
6. Customs, Duties, and Taxes
International orders are shipped Delivery Duty Unpaid (DDU).
Import duties, customs fees, and local taxes are determined by the destination country and are the clientβs responsibility. These charges are payable directly to the carrier upon import and are not included in the purchase price.
7. Ownership, Risk, and Insurance
All shipments are fully insured for their declared value until confirmed delivery and signature.
Ownership and risk of loss transfer to the client upon confirmed delivery and signed receipt.
In the rare event of loss or damage during transit, Allan Peoples will assist in initiating and managing the carrierβs insurance claim in accordance with carrier procedures.
8. Restricted and Sanctioned Destinations
Due to international regulations, carrier limitations, and compliance requirements, we cannot ship to certain destinations, including but not limited to territories subject to U.S. or international trade sanctions.
This may include, without limitation, regions such as Russia, Belarus, Iran, North Korea, Syria, Cuba, and other restricted jurisdictions.
We reserve the right to decline or cancel any order where lawful or insured delivery cannot be guaranteed.
9. Delivery Restrictions
For security and insurance reasons, we do not ship to:
- P.O. boxes
- APO/FPO addresses
- Freight-forwarding services
Shipments must be delivered to verified residential or business addresses.
10. Partial Shipments
Orders containing multiple pieces will ship together once all items are complete, unless otherwise agreed to in writing.
This ensures unified customs documentation, insurance coverage, and consistent presentation of your creations.
11. Address Changes and Cancellations
Once production has begun, address changes or order cancellations may not be possible.
After a parcel has been released to the carrier, address changes, rerouting, or redelivery requests cannot be accommodated due to security and insurance constraints.
12. Packaging and Presentation
Each Allan Peoples creation is housed in its signature presentation case and sealed within an unbranded protective outer carton.
All parcels are inspected, sealed, and documented prior to dispatch to ensure authenticity and condition.
13. Carrier Priority and Handling
Allan Peoples maintains priority handling status with its express-courier partners, ensuring elevated standards of tracking, handling, and insurance for fine-jewelry shipments.
14. Return Transit Security
Authorized returns and repairs are arranged exclusively through insured courier labels issued by our atelier to maintain continuous insurance coverage and provenance documentation.
For non-defective returns, the cost of insured return transit will be deducted from the refund amount.
For verified defects or incorrect items, return transit is fully covered by Allan Peoples.

15. Global Delivery Exceptions
Certain remote or limited-service regions may require additional transit time or insurance surcharges.
Clients will be contacted prior to dispatch should any adjustment be necessary.
16. Atelier Voyage Advisory
During official atelier travel periods or limited-production intervals, dispatch schedules may be temporarily adjusted.
Clients will receive advance notice of any revised delivery timelines.
17. Delays and Force Majeure
We are not responsible for delays caused by customs inspections, weather events, carrier disruptions, or circumstances beyond our control.
We will communicate promptly should such delays occur.
18. Delivery Confirmation and Client Responsibility
Clients are encouraged to inspect parcels immediately upon receipt.
Once signed for, the shipment is deemed complete and becomes the clientβs responsibility. We recommend insuring your jewelry for its full value following delivery.
