Code of Ethics

I. Our Principles
Every Allan Peoples creation begins with intention β to build something enduring, balanced, and alive with meaning.
Our philosophy is founded on reverence for craft, for the materials of the earth, and for the human hands that give them form.
Each design is approached as an act of proportion: a joining of geometry, spirit, and discipline.
We work slowly, deliberately, and without compromise, guided by the belief that longevity itself is the truest expression of responsibility.
Ethics, for us, is inseparable from artistry. To create with care, to compensate those who make our work fairly and with respect to mastery, to produce only what is worthy of permanence β these are not policies but principles.
II. Our Materials
All final assembly, setting, finishing, and quality control are performed in New York City, where each joint, surface, and detail is shaped and completed by hand.
Select technical components and carved elements are produced by specialized ateliers under our direction, then integrated with precision into the final work.
We use only solid precious metals, free from nickel and formulated to minimize common metal sensitivities, ensuring both comfort and structural integrity.
Gemstones are chosen individually for their color, clarity, and resonance β Kingman and Sleeping Beauty turquoise, Sardinian coral, lapis lazuli of the highest ultramarine grade, and other natural stones that embody strength and refinement.
Diamonds are sourced through trusted New York ateliers adhering to internationally recognized standards of transparency, consistent with the Kimberley Process and prevailing international best practices.
Natural variation within every material β the grain of gold, the depth of a gem β reveals the authenticity of its nature.
III. Our Practice
The Allan Peoples atelier operates on a small scale, producing limited quantities and favoring precision over volume.
We maintain long-term relationships with master jewelers and artisans whose work reflects the same discipline found in architecture and the applied arts.
Every process β from design to finishing to presentation β is undertaken with respect for human skill and for the quiet endurance of the natural world.
We design and construct our work to be serviceable across generations.
We do not create objects meant to be replaced; we create pieces meant to remain. Each one carries the same philosophy that governs all of our work: form is sacred when it is built with intention, beauty is ethical when it endures, and the union of matter and meaning is the highest act of craft.
Founderβs Note
My work has always been about the meeting point between precision and spirit β the point at which matter begins to hold meaning.
When something is built to endure, it stands as evidence of care: care for form, for proportion, for the unseen balance that gives it life.
Every piece that leaves my hands, and the hands of those I trust to shape it, carries that single purpose β to remain whole, honest, and alive through time.
