Returns, Exchanges & Repairs Policy

At Allan Peoples, every creation is conceived to endure generations.
Our policies are designed to ensure transparency while preserving the craftsmanship, integrity, and provenance of each piece.


1. Eligibility Window

Returns or exchanges may be requested within 14 calendar days of delivery, provided the item is unworn, in pristine condition, and returned in its original packaging with all accompanying documentation and certificates.

A Return Authorization (RA) must be approved prior to any return shipment. Items returned without authorization may be refused and returned to the sender.

Certain items are final sale and not eligible for return or exchange, as outlined below.


2. Return Shipping and Inspection

All returns require prior approval and issuance of an official Return Authorization (RA).

To preserve continuous insurance coverage and provenance documentation, authorized returns must be shipped using the insured return label issued by our atelier. This ensures full declared-value protection and proper transit documentation.

For non-defective returns, the cost of insured return transit will be deducted from the final refund amount.
For verified manufacturing defects or fulfillment errors, return transit is fully covered by Allan Peoples.

Items returned without an authorized return label or without prior approval may be refused and returned to the sender.

Upon receipt, each returned creation undergoes a meticulous inspection by our atelier. Approval occurs only after the item has been received and successfully passed inspection.

In rare cases where an eligible return requires minimal re-polishing, tightening, or cleaning to restore original presentation, a brief reconditioning period may occur prior to final processing.

Refunds are issued only to the original form of payment and are processed within 7–10 business days following approval.


3. Exchanges

Subject to availability, exchanges may be requested within the 14-day eligibility window for a different size or color variation of the same design.

Price adjustments may apply where the selected variation differs in metal, gemstone, or weight.


4. Non-Returnable Items

The following items are final sale and not eligible for return or exchange:

  • Earrings and any item intended for body piercing (for hygiene reasons)
  • Custom, engraved, or bespoke commissions
  • Gift cards or digital certificates

All creations are inspected prior to shipment to ensure excellence upon delivery.


5. International Returns

Clients outside the United States may request a return authorization within the same 14-day window.

International clients are responsible for:

  • Return shipping
  • Duties, taxes, and customs fees

Any unpaid duties, taxes, or carrier-assessed fees deducted during transit will be subtracted from the refund amount.

Returns must be shipped using a fully insured courier with tracking.
We recommend DHL Express or FedEx International Priority for secure, traceable service.


6. Refund Processing

Refunds are issued exclusively to the original method of payment and processed in U.S. dollars (USD).

Original shipping charges, duties, and taxes are non-refundable.

We reserve the right to deny any return that shows signs of wear, alteration, damage, or use inconsistent with original condition.

Store credit is not guaranteed and may be issued solely at our discretion in limited circumstances.


7. Warranty and Repairs

All Allan Peoples creations are covered by a one-year limited warranty from the date of delivery against manufacturing defects under normal wear.

Covered:

  • Structural or mechanical faults arising from craftsmanship or casting
  • Faulty clasps, hinges, or settings identified upon delivery

Not Covered:

  • Patina, natural aging, or surface wear
  • Damage resulting from accident, impact, improper care, or third-party alteration

Repairs requested outside the warranty period are evaluated individually and may incur a service fee.


8. Repair Timeframes

Repair and restoration timelines vary depending on complexity and material availability.
Most repairs are completed within 4–6 weeks.

All services are performed by the same master workshops responsible for creating our collections.


9. Restoration and Atelier Services

Professional restoration, polishing, resizing, gemstone replacement, and refinishing services are available exclusively through our atelier to preserve original geometry, finish, and provenance.

Alterations performed by third parties may void the warranty and authenticity documentation.

For restoration inquiries, clients may be referred to our atelier following concierge review.


10. Archival Record and Provenance Integrity

Each creation entering or leaving the Allan Peoples atelier is documented in our internal archives to maintain provenance and authenticity.

Returns, exchanges, and repairs form part of each creation’s continuing life record.


11. Collector Services

Our atelier maintains provenance records and offers authentication and restoration services for Allan Peoples creations acquired through authorized resellers or private inheritance.

These services are available exclusively to verified or registered owners.


12. Gift Returns

Refunds may be issued only to the original purchaser.

Gift recipients may request an exchange or store credit issued in their own name with written authorization from the purchaser.


13. Packaging and Documentation

To preserve provenance, all original boxes, pouches, and certificates must accompany any return.

Replacement presentation materials may be available for a nominal fee, subject to stock and verification of purchase.


14. Photographic Verification

All items returned to or leaving the atelier are photographed upon receipt and following inspection to ensure transparency and accurate documentation for both parties.


15. Environmental and Ethical Stewardship

Returned creations are never destroyed or discarded. Each is restored, repurposed, or archived in accordance with our sustainability standards.

We approach every creation with respect for the cultural, historical, and environmental origins of its inspiration.


16. Responsibility After Delivery

Clients are encouraged to inspect their creation promptly upon receipt.

Acceptance is deemed to occur following the inspection period described in Section 19.
Thereafter, responsibility for the creation rests with the client, and we recommend insuring it for its full value.


17. Custom Commission Exemption

Bespoke or made-to-order commissions fall outside this policy and are governed by separate written agreements detailing timelines, pricing, and approval stages.


18. Seasonal Advisory

During atelier closures or high-volume periods, processing times for returns and repairs may be extended.

Clients will be notified in advance should delays occur.


19. Defective or Incorrect Items

If a creation arrives defective or incorrect, please notify us within 7 calendar days of delivery.

We will arrange a prepaid return and coordinate repair, replacement, or refund as appropriate.
