Shen — Ring — Single Link Band — 18k Rose Gold
Description
This ring is composed of four closed shen rings joined by four cartouche forms, creating a continuous linked band. Circular enclosure and elongated framing alternate evenly around the finger, establishing a balanced and deliberate geometry.
Worn on the hand, the structure reads as continuity organized through repetition. The ring presents protection as something ordered, assembled, and sustained.
The shen is an ancient Egyptian symbol formed as a closed loop, often shown tied at one end. Its continuous shape has no visible beginning or end. The form expresses enclosure and completeness.
In ancient Egypt, the shen signified protection and endurance over time. The closed loop represented that which was contained, safeguarded, and preserved. The cartouche developed as an elongated expression of this same principle, used to enclose royal names and protect identity within a defined boundary.
