Description
This ring is composed of four closed shen rings joined by four cartouche forms, creating a continuous linked band. Four bezel-set diamonds are integrated into the design, each set within a circular portion of the structure.
Worn on the hand, the diamonds act as fixed points within the repeating geometry. The ring presents protection as something structured and illuminated, held within clear boundaries.
The shen is an ancient Egyptian symbol formed as a closed loop, often shown tied at one end. Its continuous shape has no visible beginning or end. The form expresses enclosure and completeness.
In ancient Egypt, the shen signified protection and endurance over time. The closed loop represented that which was contained, safeguarded, and preserved. The cartouche developed as an elongated expression of this same principle, used to enclose royal names and protect identity within a defined boundary.
