Description
This ring is composed of two closed Shen rings joined by two cartouche elements, forming a continuous band. The structure alternates between circular enclosure and elongated framing, creating a unified geometry around the finger.
Worn on the hand, the alternating forms read as continuity held within defined boundaries. The ring presents protection as something structured and sustained through balance and repetition.
The Shen is an ancient Egyptian symbol formed as a closed loop, often shown tied at one end. Its continuous shape has no visible beginning or end. The form expresses enclosure and completeness.
In ancient Egypt, the Shen signified protection and endurance over time. The closed loop represented that which was contained, safeguarded, and preserved. The cartouche developed as an elongated form of this same principle, used to enclose royal names and protect identity within a defined boundary.
